Courses

It is commonly known that less experienced and poorly trained personnel tend to make more mistakes. Operating personnel require proper induction training and periodic refresher training, to perform their jobs without errors.

Our generic courses are designed to achieve the twin objectives of knowledge upgradation and skill development in the areas of oil & gas, fertilizer & chemicals, petrochemicals, pharma, pulp & paper and cement industries. We also offer our services for designing customized courses.

We use a combination of tutorials, presentations, and operator training simulators in the training sessions. The tutorials and the presentations provide the requisite knowledge, while the simulators provide a platform for hands-on training through customized exercises. These training sessions are conducted by industry personnel who have several years of industrial experience. The courses are continually upgraded with inputs from the industry, so that they stay relevant at all times, and are effective in achieving our objective of workforce skilling.

Standard Training Courses:

  • Chemical Process Equipment & Separation Principles
    Duration: 3 Days

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of process equipment such as heat exchangers, valves, pumps, compressors, turbines, furnace, etc. The operating principles can be experienced through hand-on simulation exercises. Also, common process concepts such as flash separation and distillation are introduced with hands-on simulation exercises.

  • Industrial Process Control
    Duration: 1 Day

This course provides training in basic process control such as PID control, feedforward control, override control, ratio control, and split range control. These control schemes can be experienced through hands-on simulation exercises. The control scheme objectives are explained along with their industrial applications.

  • Ammonia Manufacturing Process
    Duration: 3 Days

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the ammonia synthesis process including their chemistry, unit operations, safety & hazards. Also, the competing technologies are explained along with their differences.

  • Urea Manufacturing Process
    Duration: 3 Days

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the urea synthesis process including their chemistry, unit operations, safety & hazards. Also, the competing technologies are explained along with their differences.

  • Offsite-&-Utilities
    Duration: 5 Days

This course provides a comprehensive understanding on the various unit operations that are part of the offsite and utilities facility of a chemical plant. This course covers water systems (desalination, demineralized water, potable and service water), fuel gas system, overview of power generation including auxiliary boilers, steam systems, air & nitrogen system, and chemical loading facility.
